Play This: Super Hexagon

Let me ask you some questions. Are you into games with good music? Do you like it when they are fast-paced and great at wasting small amounts of time between each play? Are you into challenges? And last, do you mind having your eyes burn out of your sockets as you try to keep up with an object swirling around at the speed of sound? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then I have the game for you.

It is called Super Hexagon and after one round of playing you will know why. And as far as music games go, I give it the recommendation because it is both addictive and fast-paced. Somehow this was able to turn thirty seconds of play into half an hour of enjoyment. So click the link and give it at try!

The basic idea of this game is that this is yet another one of those obsessively fun and counter-productively addicting music games. You listen to the beat while tapping on the phone to swirl your little triangle around a hexagonal shape. And the reason you swirl around is because walls of death are collapsing inwards towards you as the game proceeds.

But the reason this game is fantastic is because you will lose a bunch of times without ever making even thirty seconds of gameplay. Yet it quickly gets you back into the action to try again, which of course you will because you do not want to be defeated. Combine that sort of I need to win addiction with the fast-paced music and it just keeps you playing. And that is not all that keeps you going though. There is also this voice in the background that tells you when you have beaten your personal best record, telling you to continue onwards, and telling you when you beat a level. That is right, although this game has only one gameplay style, it had levels. For those curious, when you lose it is back to level one and you have to start over.

There are also several different songs that you can try out, though the faster the song the harder the game is. I have tried all of the songs that come unlocked at the start, where the slowest of which I still have not technically beaten, which means to reach sixty seconds. On the third and fastest song I have not even managed to make ten seconds. It is that fast. Anyway, I recommend this game and the only way to know if you will like it is to try it. So give it a go!
